Did a device reset yesterday and went to open Kies so I could restore my old data and BAM! just sits there saying "connecting". I backed up my Galaxy S3 (SGH-i747) with Kies 2.3_10 on. I am having the same issue with my MBP on OS X 10.8.3. Not saying you don't have a valid issue, just trying to narrow down the particular apps and use case here.Yeah, ive downloaded the latest version and i also tried un-installing kies and re-installing using the older version 1.3_4 connecting to the phone with genuine samsung cable and i still get just the spinning connection symbol. Thatâs it, now you can manage your data between your Galaxy device and PC (Windows and Mac). Are you using Kies and getting the 'spinning connecting' issue? I've used Kies recently (this past weekend) to synch my Phone Contacts with the OS X Contacts app, and completed a full backup.Connect your Galaxy device with your PC and choose USB connection.Once the installation is complete, you will end up on the home screen of Galaxy PC Suite (Smart Switch & Samsung Kies).Follow the on-screen instructions and finish the installation. ![]() exe file to start the installation process.
